Rachel has a strong understanding of the commercial, political and cultural setup of organisations. Her breadth of experience in both the private and public sectors over thirty years is a significant asset in adapting to the culture, style, personality, challenges and goals of individuals and teams.
Prior to the last ten years as an executive coach, Rachel was commercial manager with SHL (a global leader in talent assessment and development) and recruitment manager with HRM Recruitment Group. She began her career working with Smurfit Kappa, one of the leading paper-based packaging companies in the world.
Rachel’s executive coaching private sector clients include C-suite Executives, Directors and Functional/Technical Managers. Rachel’s civil service & public sector clients include Assistant Secretaries, Directors, Principal Officers, Assistant Principals, CEOs of State Bodies/Regulators/County Councils and School Principals.
Executive coaching typically consists of 5 to 7 sessions, either standalone or part of existing leadership development programmes. To enhance self-awareness, Rachel can support her clients with powerful diagnostics tools such as personality, motivation and emotional intelligence questionnaires and 360º feedback.

Integrity
Clear contracting, managing expectations and holding the space so that the client (individual or team) can access deep thinking and ensure that the energy in the coaching session is focused on what the client is aiming to achieve. Confidentiality is assured, as trust is the basic building block for developing the coaching relationship.

Rachel is present for her clients. She is there to listen and empower the client to develop the very best ways of thinking.

Rachel focuses her clients on being comfortable with their own authentic style rather than the ways they imagine they should be.

Rachel empowers the client to make a plan, take positive action and deliver results so that the goals established are achieved for the organisation, as well as for the individual.
Qualifications & Certification
Rachel is a member of the Association for Coaching. A Bachelor of Commerce graduate of UCD, she has continued her own development through the following:
- Postgraduate in Human Resources (NCI)
- Diploma in Executive & Leadership Coaching (TCMP)
- Introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (PCI College)
- Thinking Facilitator & Thinking Partnership (Time to Think)
- Certificate in Systemic Team Coaching (AoEC)
Rachel is BPS qualified in Occupational Assessment (Level A & B). She uses a wide range of psychometric and 360º instruments including Emotional Capital Report (Roche Martin), OPQ (SHL), HPI (Hogan), YSL, and Ashridge. She also has extensive experience in competency-based interviewing and assessment.
